This month was a blur. Shocking, I know. But every day was more the same than your typical newborn haze because we’ve been all in the house all day every day. There is a world-wide health pandemic: COVID-19. In Charlotte, we’ve been under a “stay home” order for a few weeks now. So, we aren’t leaving the house except for daily walks or playing in our yard/driveway. This has been great — we have no feeling of missing out because no one is doing anything. But, it’s also been a bit of a bummer because there is no quick run to the store, no breaks when a friend comes over, no family in town to help. It’s just Jimmy and me taking care of two kids nonstop. Whew.
Anyways, back to Claire. She is definitely more alert and focused. She started smiling! It is so heart warming to be talking to her and have her smile back.
